Call Me Sparrow is a queer folk-alternative band based in
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Fronted by Stacy Rose Lott, the band is
an outward expression of their own inner journey and experiences
with finding their gender identity. They released their debut single
“Persephone” in July 2025 and "The Deal with the Devil" in August 2025.
The band has a passion for storytelling and creating a safe space for all marginalized people
through music and community. They also enjoy subverting expectations by
experimenting with genres and techniques that expand on traditional
folk sounds. Their sonics and textures fall in line with those of
Hozier, Florence + The Machine and The Cranberries. With
beautifully poetic lyricism and lush melodies, and with live shows
that reflect a nomadic traveling theater troupe, Call Me Sparrow's
original music is timeless and offers something for everybody.
Hailing from Reno, NV, and moving to Oklahoma during the COVID-19 pandemic, Stacy Rose Lott suffered back-to-back car accidents in early 2022 and spent what little money they had left on a keyboard. Driven by a love of music, they decided to teach themself the instrument and started writing songs. From there, passion only grew as Stacy began to teach themself the guitar and music production. After performing in the local open mic circuit, they officially founded Call Me Sparrow in October 2024.
Coming out as non-binary in 2025, Stacy's music is a reflection of the inner journey they embarked on to find their true and authentic self. They hope their music can be used as an anthem for anyone who feels alone or displaced in a world that becomes increasingly hostile.
"You decide where you stand, you decide where you go. It's all about action, intention and outcome. One of those, you have no control over, but the best you can do is go for it." - Stacy Rose Lott
